Sourcing

Many companies have experienced that the sourcing of new products in Asia can be very time demanding. This is often due to lack of insight into the culture as well as the difficulty of long-distance cooperation. This means that there are many misunderstandings, which often end in frustration and loss for both parties.

Abson specialises in sourcing and with approx. 30 qualified employees in Shanghai, who through many years of experience with sales to the West have built up the Western culture understanding of precision and quality; we have the ability to live up to the demands placed by our customers.

When you start up a sourcing process, it contains the following stages:

1. The sourcing task is submitted to Abson.
2. The documentation, materials, requirements for approvals, surfaces and packaging are updated.
3. Supplier screening in Asia; minimum 3 factories are selected for price indication. A "Factory Audit" is conducted of the selected factory.
4. Tools are prepared and the first sample is approved by the customer.
5. Packaging is designed (e.g. coloured boxes with barcodes, etc.) and is sent for customer approval.
6. The product is tested, e.g. in accordance with RoHS, CE, TüF, etc.
7. Mass production is initiated.
8. Inspections on each delivery are conducted plus possible partial inspections at component level.
